This is a one way tour of 2 days on the  “Golden Loop” to Hue.

This is a loop tour taking 2 days and covering most of “Golden Loop” taking in Marble MountainHai Van Pass, magnificent mountain country and My Son Sanctuary. This has long been the tour of choice for adventurous motor bike tourers and we certainly offer an easy rider tour option but for those travellers who would dearly like to experience central Vietnam at its best we have a jeep option or comfortable 4 or 7 seater air-conditioned cars.

Day 1 – Hoi An to P’rao.

  • 8.00am: Pickup at your Hotel

    We will meet you at your hotel to begin our day.

  • 8.30am: Visit Marble Mountain

    Our first stop is Marble Mountain where you are free to explore the many wonders of the mountain. Usually most guests take about 90 minutes, but feel free to take more or less time. You can climb the more than 150 steps (or take the elevator) that lead to the summit of Thuy Son (water mountain), you will be treated to incredible views of natural landscapes and access to the grottoes of Huyen Khong and Tang Chon, as well as the Tam Thai pagoda, built in 1825. These ancient religious monuments showcase the region’s timeless tradition of stone and marble carving. You can come down from the mountain via the handmade staircase or the elevator. The sculptured caves are truly breathtaking.

  • 11.30am: Start our climb of Majestic Hai Van Pass

    When you are ready, we leave Marble Mountains and head to the Hai Van Pass. The 21-km-long Hai Van Pass rises up to 1,600 feet high in places and is known as one of the best coastal roads in the world. The name, Hai Van is Vietnamese for Ocean Cloud, a reference to the great mists which rise from the sea.  The pass was once the natural boundary between Vietnam and the kingdom of Champa. At the top there is a number of lookout points with wonderful views to the mountains and sea beyond. When the Hai Van tunnel, was built in 2005, it cut travel times through the mountains by more than an hour but also turned the Hai Van Pass into a beautifully quiet scenic route. Our stop for coffee looking out to sea is both memorable and relaxing, you will be very happy with this photo stop.

  • 1.00pm: Time for a delicious noodle lunch!

    After descending the Pass we will stop for a Noodle lunch, Vietnam is famous for its love of noodles. Our lunch stop is a delicious example of noodles at their best. After lunch we travel through the hill country, passing close to the famous Bana Hills heading for our evening stop in the mountain town of P’rao.

  • 2.30pm: Time to relax and swim at the Waterfall

    Before we arrive at Prao you can enjoy a relaxing stop at a cool mountain stream waterfall for a swim, relax or take some photos of the mountainous country of Bana Hills.

  • 4.15pm: Visit a Tea Plantation

    As we continue our journey to Prao we can stop at a Tea Plantation for you to see how tea is grown, harvested and dried.

  • 5.30pm: Arrive At Prao Hotel

    About 5.30 we arrive at our hotel in Prao, where you can rest and freshen up before a walk through the town and then dinner at the hotel.

    Day 2-P’rao return to Hoi An

  • 7:30am: Breakfast before new Trip

    After breakfast at the hotel we will set of for our day 2 adventure on the Ho Chi Minh trail.

  • 10.00am: Walk through the ethnic minority village

    Our first stop is a visit to an ethnic minority village. You are welcome to walk through the village, the villagers, particularly the children are very friendly. This is a delightful experience and you are welcome to look through the unique communal house.

  • 11.00am: See Waterfall, Take Great Pictures

    We continue to travel upwards experiencing the breathtaking scenery of the lush mountainsides, after about 30 minutes we arrive at another beautiful waterfall for great photos a relax or swim.

  • 12.00pm: Stop at Pineapple Plantation

    When you are ready we will move on stopping at a pineapple plantation to see how pineapple are grown and of course to sample the juicy fruit.

  • 1.30pm: Arrive at My Son Sanctuary

    About 1.30pm we arrive at My Son sanctuary where we first have lunch after which we will start our tour of the Sanctuary. Most visitors take about an hour or so to wander through, you can, for a small fee, use a local guide to explain the cultural significance of many of the ruins. The name My Son means “beautiful mountain” and the Hindu ruins are dated to between the 4th and 13th centuries, these ancient towers and temples sit upon emerald hills in the Duy Xuyen District of Quang Nam in central Vietnam. This is a UNESCO World Heritage site and you are free to explore the 71 structures in 8 groupings making up the sanctuary. This is a wonderful example of Vietnam’s rich indigenous culture.

  • 3.30pm: Head back home through scenic views

    When you are ready we begin our trip home and again we choose the quiet rural roads so we can pass through small villages, rice fields, observe buffalos and farmers at work.

  • 5.00pm: Arrive At Hotel

    Arrive at your hotel to complete our memorable journey.

    Before we arrive at Prao you can enjoy a relaxing stop at a cool mountain stream waterfall for a swim, relax or take some photos of the mountainous country of Bana Hills.

  • 4.15pm: Visit a Tea Plantation

    As we continue our journey to Prao we can stop at a Tea Plantation for you to see how tea is grown, harvested and dried.

  • 5.30pm: Arrive At Prao Hotel

    About 5.30 we arrive at our hotel in Prao, where you can rest and freshen up before a walk through the town and then dinner at the hotel.

    Day 2-P’rao return to Hoi An

  • 7:30am: Breakfast before new Trip
